In the summer of 2025, the life of 16-year-old Achilles Seward was tragically cut short by gun violence in Louisville, Kentucky. On the evening of June 23rd, police responded to a shooting on Ridgecrest Road in the Newburg neighborhood. Upon arrival, they discovered the teenage male suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite the immediate life-saving efforts of the officers at the scene, Achilles succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
