In the evening hours of September 19, 2025, the life of Taiquan Moss, a 29-year-old Black male, was tragically cut short on the streets of Baltimore. Moss was found at approximately 8:40 p.m. in the 1100 block of East 20th Street, having been fatally wounded by gunfire. He succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
The Baltimore Police Department launched a homicide investigation into the shooting that claimed Moss's life. Their efforts led them to identify a suspect in the case.
Less than a month after the incident, on October 14, 2025, authorities announced a significant development in the investigation.
Detectives arrested 27-year-old Kashif Forman in connection with the murder. Forman was subsequently charged for his alleged involvement in the death of Taiquan Moss, bringing a measure of progress to a case that had left a community searching for answers. The arrest was part of a broader announcement by the police department detailing numerous arrests in recent homicide and shooting cases across the city.
