John and his brother-in-law David were last seen leaving their house to sell blue jeans from a closed down clothing store to a new store. They never returned home and were reported missing.
On September 13, 1983, their car was found near Jagger Lake burnt twice, once with gasoline and another time with diesel fuel. The jeans were still there and the key was in the ignition.
