Brandon Matthew Johnson, 34, a Black/African American man from Augusta, was shot inside his home on the 3600 block of Madrid Drive during the early hours of Sunday, May 25, 2025. Deputies responding to an aggravated assault call found him in the hallway near the bathroom with a gunshot wound to the chest while a woman, identified in reports as Sylvia Johnson, tried to render aid.
