In the late spring of 2025, a dispute between relatives over the seemingly trivial matter of light switches is believed to have culminated in the tragic death of 34-year-old Brandon Matthew Johnson in Augusta, Georgia. The incident that led to his death occurred on Sunday, May 25, 2025, on Madrid Drive. Johnson sustained a gunshot wound during the altercation and was transported to Doctors Hospital of Augusta for medical attention.
