On June 13, 2025, Tomika Pullins, 29, a Black/African American woman from Decatur, Georgia, was shot and killed inside an apartment at the Forest at Columbia Apartments on Columbia Drive. DeKalb County police were dispatched around 2:48 p.m.; when officers entered the unit, they found Tomika Pullins, 29, and 7-year-old Dior Scott unresponsive from gunshot wounds.
