In the evening hours of June 14, 2025, the life of 35-year-old Jesus Retana-Aguilera, a Hispanic male, was tragically cut short in Wichita, Kansas. Police were drawn to the intersection of 22nd Street and Hillside Avenue around 9:30 p.m. by the sound of gunfire. Upon their arrival, they discovered Retana-Aguilera suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was urgently transported to a local hospital, but tragically succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead later that evening.
