In the early evening of September 10, 2025, tragedy struck in the Old Louisville neighborhood, forever altering the lives of those connected to Kenneth Adams Jr. The 61-year-old man was in the 1200 block of South 3rd Street at approximately 6:40 p.m. when an argument escalated to a fatal conclusion. It was during this dispute that William Bradley allegedly drew a firearm and shot Adams multiple times.
The gunshots also endangered four other individuals who were in the vicinity.
Emergency services were called to the scene, but despite their efforts, Kenneth Adams Jr. was pronounced dead at the location of the shooting. The Louisville Metro Police Department's Homicide Unit immediately launched an investigation into the incident. Their work led them to identify William Bradley as the primary suspect in the case.
A few days later, on a Friday afternoon, Louisville police located and arrested William Bradley in connection with the fatal shooting. He was subsequently charged with one count of murder and four counts of wanton endangerment, reflecting the gravity of the altercation and the danger posed to others present. Following his arrest, Bradley was arraigned, and a judge set his bond at $200,000.
