On the evening of July 15, 2025, in Kansas City, Kansas, 49-year-old Larone Brasfield, a Black male, was fatally shot. The incident occurred in the 1500 block of North 25th Street, near Freeman Avenue. Police were dispatched to the scene shortly after 6 p.m. where they discovered Brasfield suffering from a gunshot wound. He was promptly transported to a local hospital for medical attention but ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
