On a summer evening in Hammond, Indiana, the life of a 16-year-old male, Michael J. Reyna, was tragically cut short. On Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at approximately 7:25 p.m., police responded to a report of a shooting in the 1000 block of 177th Street. Upon arrival, they found that Michael had been shot.

He was rushed to Community Hospital in Munster in critical condition but ultimately succumbed to his injuries. The Lake County Coroner's Office subsequently ruled his death a homicide. Kno ...
