In the summer of 2025, a dispute over something as ordinary as a parking spot in Gary, Indiana, spiraled into a fatal encounter for 38-year-old David Foster. On August 1st, a daytime confrontation erupted near the intersection of 17th Avenue and Pierce Street. Witnesses later recounted to investigators that what began as a disagreement over street parking quickly escalated into a physical fight.
