In the early morning hours of August 3, 2025, a dispute that began inside Matey's Bar and Restaurant in Michigan City, Indiana, spilled out into the street, ending in the tragic death of 25-year-old Dante Sellers of La Porte. As Sellers was walking to his vehicle parked across the street from the establishment, gunfire erupted.
