On the afternoon of August 9, 2025, white 61-year-old Jeffrey David Fauber, a male from the Spencer/Quincy area of Owen County, Indiana, was found shot to death in a driveway on Truesdel Road, north of Spencer. Deputies were dispatched at about 3:42 p.m. after a report of gunfire, and arriving responders discovered two men—Jeffrey David Fauber, age 61, and Grantham Adam Chandler, age 41—lying in the drive with apparent gunshot wounds.
