Nichelle Blunt, 43, a Black woman, was killed on the evening of August 30, 2025, on Chicago’s Far South Side. According to police, she was in the 900 block of East 131st Street in the Riverdale community when five gunmen approached and opened fire, striking her multiple times. First responders transported her from the scene, but she did not survive her wounds.
