Death by Force

Tracy Cunningham, 55, a Black male from Decatur, was shot late on Labor Day, September 1, 2025, and later died at Decatur Memorial Hospital. Police were called around 11:49 p.m. to the 1700 block of North Church Street, near Church Street and Johnson Avenue, where they found Cunningham suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was identified by the Macon County Coroner, who confirmed his age and hometown as the investigation opened into the circumstances surrounding the attack.
