On the morning of August 31, 2025, 46-year-old Nelson Reynolds Crenshaw, a male, was found shot in a wooded area off the 6000 block of Harrison Road in west Macon. A 9:24 a.m. call to Macon-Bibb 911 brought deputies to the scene; paramedics took Nelson Reynolds Crenshaw to a nearby hospital, where he later died of his injuries. He was identified by local coroner officials as a resident of Fort Valley, and the case was opened as a homicide investigation.
