In the pre-dawn hours of a late September morning, a vehicle that had strayed from the asphalt of Highway 301 South in Sylvania, Georgia, became the scene of a grim discovery. Leon Donell Tolbert Jr., a 30-year-old male, was one of the two men whose life was abruptly ended on that Saturday, September 27, 2025.
When law enforcement arrived at approximately 3:15 a.m., they found both Leon Tolbert Jr. and 30-year-old Brandon Counts inside the vehicle, each having suffered a single gunshot wound.
