On the evening of May 21, 2025, a burst of gunfire shattered the quiet of a residential street in northwest Aurora, forever altering the lives of two families. When police arrived at the 3100 block of Ursula Street around 7:15 p.m., they discovered two young men who had been shot. One of the victims, a Hispanic male identified as 18-year-old Ernesto Jae Sandoval of Wheat Ridge, was rushed to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries.
