In the quiet, early hours of May 3, 2025, Josiah Jhiri Slocum, 19, a male from Montgomery, was rushed to a local hospital after sustaining a gunshot wound. He was Black / African American. Despite emergency efforts, Josiah Jhiri Slocum, 19, was pronounced dead shortly after officers arrived at the hospital around 2:50 a.m., marking another life cut short in a year already shadowed by violent loss.
