In the late afternoon of May 26, 2025, the quiet of Tucson's south side was broken by an act of violence that claimed the life of 59-year-old Randy Schultz. A male of white/Caucasian ethnicity, Schultz was found unresponsive by Pima County Sheriff's deputies who had been called to the 9700 block of South Nogales Highway for a report of a shooting. Despite the efforts of first responders, he was declared dead at the scene.
