In the late evening hours of the Fourth of July, the sound of gunshots shattered the holiday calm on Karen Court in Little Rock, Arkansas. Responding to a call about a shooting at approximately 9:42 p.m., police officers arrived to a grim scene. They discovered 62-year-old Frederick Williams lying unresponsive in the street, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency medical services were unable to save him, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation into the death of the male victim moved swiftly. Homicide detectives began canvassing the neighborhood, speaking with potential witnesses and searching for any available surveillance footage that might shed light on the events that led to the fatal shooting. The day after the incident, on July 5, 2025, authorities made two arrests in connection with the case. Al-Malik Diamond, 40, and Anna Rodgers, 46, both residents of Little Rock, were taken into custody.

Following their apprehension, Diamond and Rodgers were transported to the Major Crimes Division for interviews with investigators. The body of Frederick Williams was transported to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for an autopsy to officially determine the cause and manner of death.
