In the summer of 2025, the community of Talladega, Alabama, was shaken by a grim discovery that unfolded within the walls of an apartment on Old Shocco Road. On July 5th, officers conducting a welfare check stumbled upon a tragic scene, finding the bodies of four individuals, including 44-year-old Nicholas Lanod Keith. The male victim, along with three other Talladega residents, Jeffreon Quejuantay Keith, 40, Querida Lenora Rachelle Flores, 30, and Jamari Rashad Evans, 27, had been shot to
death in what was determined to be a quadruple homicide.
The investigation into the four deaths was extensive, involving the Talladega Police Department, the Talladega County Drug and Violent Crime Task Force, the local District Attorney's Office, and federal agencies including the ATF and FBI. As the community grieved, authorities worked to piece together the events that led to the brutal slayings. A reward was offered for information that could lead to an arrest, signaling the urgency and gravity of the case.
Weeks after the discovery, a breakthrough was announced. On July 22, 2025, Talladega Police arrested 28-year-old Daishawn Tamar Jackson in connection with the murders. Jackson was subsequently charged with capital murder and is being held in the Talladega County Jail without bond. While an arrest has been made, authorities have indicated that the investigation remains ongoing as they seek to identify any other individuals who may have been involved in the crime.
