In the summer of 2025, a wave of violence shook Montgomery, Alabama, leaving families grieving and a community searching for answers. On the evening of July 12th, 27-year-old Malik Denzel Benson was tragically caught in this surge of violence, his life cut short by gunfire. Born on September 4, 1997, to Annie Martin Jackson and Willie James Benson, Malik was known for his radiant smile and his devotion to his son and bonus son.
