In the retirement community of Sun City West, Arizona, a quiet afternoon was shattered by an act of violence that ended the life of 80-year-old Mary LaFountain. On September 15, 2025, the tranquil setting of the Grandview Terrace long-term care campus was disrupted by a double shooting. A White / Caucasian female, Mary was found by Maricopa County Sheriff's Office deputies with a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.
