On a summer evening in Troy, Alabama, the life of Christopher C. Stanford, a 42-year-old male, was tragically cut short. On July 20, 2025, what began as another Sunday quickly devolved into a scene of violence that would leave a community shaken and multiple families grieving. The incident unfolded around 10:25 p.m. when a man forcibly entered a residence on New Street and opened fire, killing Stanford.
