Roberto Simmon, 34, a Hispanic/Latino man, was shot and killed late on the night of June 12, 2008, at an apartment complex in eastern Las Vegas. Police were called to 1060 Sierra Vista Avenue at about 10:52 p.m., where Simmon was found mortally wounded; the coroner later identified him as the victim and determined he died from a gunshot wound to the neck.
