Gladys Rowland, a 48-year-old white woman, was tragically killed on May 15, 1954, in Colquitt County, Georgia. She was married to Walter C Rowland, who also died on the same day. Both were buried at Westview Cemetery in Moultrie, Georgia. Gladys was born on December 31, 1910, in Georgia and lived in the area with her husband and two daughters, Carolyn and Marilyn.
