The perpetrator was identified as 26-year-old Kentavious White, an employee at the same McDonald's where Smith worked. On that morning, White first went to the neighboring homes of his mother, 50-year-old Susie Arnold, and his grandmother, 74-year-old Hilda Marshall, where he shot and killed both of them.
