In the early autumn of 2003, the life of Sandra Janel Beard, a 43-year-old white woman, came to a tragic and violent end. On September 18th of that year, her body was discovered by a salesman who had pulled off Interstate 40 near the Tiger Mountain exit in McIntosh County, Oklahoma. The initial belief that he had stumbled upon an animal was quickly dispelled by the sight of a ring on her finger, revealing the grim reality of the situation.
