On April 4, 1989, the body of Brenda Hernandez, a 21-year-old white female, was discovered in a field near NW 46th Street and 23rd Avenue in unincorporated Dade County, Miami, Florida. She was found nude from the waist down, wearing a nightshirt and bra, with her legs spread apart. The scene was described as a lower-middle-class neighborhood, and the victim was located approximately 1.5 feet from a fence.
