Lavita Anthony was a kind, gentle 51 year old woman living unhoused in Miami in 2014.
Lavita was experiencing homelessness at the time of her murder, but she would often stay at a shelter called the Camillus House, which provided resources to the homeless and hungry, and to those struggling in poverty or with substance abuse.
