On March 26, 1985, 19-year-old white female Tommie Lou Whiddon was murdered while sunbathing alone on Okaloosa Island, Florida. She had planned to meet a friend that day, but the friend canceled, leaving Tommie Lou by herself on the beach. She was a junior college student studying to become a physical therapist and was known for her vibrant personality, love of fashion, and dedication to her church and family.
