Debra Ann Slaughter, a 35-year-old African American woman from Charlotte, North Carolina, was brutally murdered on March 12, 1994. She was a deli clerk and the daughter of Alfonso Slaughter and Lovie Williams. At the time of her death, she was single and the mother of an 18-year-old son.
