On July 10, 2001, the body of Diane Jordan, a 42-year-old African-American woman, was discovered in an alley in the 1400 block of North Mohawk Street in Chicago, Illinois. She was among four women murdered between June and August 2001, all of whom were involved in sex work and struggled with substance dependence. The other victims were Bernadine Blunt, 39; Ola Mae Wallace, 39; and Cynthia Halk, 38. Each was found in similar conditions, having been strangled and left in secluded urban locations. ...
