Denise Hughes, a 21-year-old female secretary of Native Hawaiian descent, was found dead in Moanalua Stream, Hawaii, in early February 1986. She had been reported missing on January 30 after failing to show up for work at the telephone company where she was employed. Denise was known to be active in her Christian church and typically commuted by bus.
