On the night of August 31, 2024, tragedy struck in Waianae, Hawaii, when 29-year-old Jessyca Amasiu, a Native Hawaiian woman, was fatally shot along with two other women. The incident occurred on Waianae Valley Road and stemmed from a dispute between neighbors regarding traffic caused by a loud party at an illegal commercial venue.
