Linda Yalem, a 22-year-old white female college student from New York, NY, was a sophomore at the University at Buffalo when she was raped and murdered on September 29, 1990. She had been training for the New York City Marathon and was last seen leaving her dormitory around noon to go for a run along the Ellicott Creek Bike Path in Amherst, New York. Her body was discovered the following day in a wooded area near the path. She had been sexually assaulted and strangled.
