Holly Suzanne Tarr, an 18-year-old White female from Okemos, Michigan, was tragically murdered on April 3, 1990, while visiting her brother in San Diego, California. Holly, an honors student and aspiring actress, had traveled to California for spring break. She was staying at the Buena Vista Gardens apartment complex in the Clairemont neighborhood, an area that had already seen two other young women brutally stabbed to death earlier that year.
