On August 15, 1986, Sophia Glover—a 37-year-old African-American female—was discovered dead in the Normal Heights neighborhood of San Diego. Her nude body, wrapped in a blanket and left alongside a residential alley, bore severe blunt-force injuries to the head, neck, and chest, and ligature marks consistent with manual strangulation.
