Seventeen-year-old Vicki Ripple, a young white female, was tragically murdered on January 31, 1984, while working alone at a High's Ice Cream store in Newport News, Virginia. The crime occurred around lunchtime on one of the busiest streets in the city, leaving the community in shock and fear.
