In the winter of 1998, a young life full of promise was tragically cut short in a West Des Moines hotel. Mariana Redrovan, a 15-year-old female of Ecuadorian descent, was working diligently as a housekeeper at the Walnut Creek Inn, a job she had held for about nine months. Despite her young age, she worked full-time to support herself.
