In the spring of 2021, the life of Christina Marie Dirks, a 39-year-old White/Caucasian woman, was tragically cut short. On the evening of May 7th, in Des Moines, Iowa, a call reporting a shooting sent police to an apartment complex at 4024 Hubbell Avenue. There, outside the building, they found Christina, who had been shot. She was rushed to a nearby hospital but ultimately succumbed to her injuries. The incident marked the third homicide in the city that year.
