In the autumn of 1990, a wave of fear swept across northern Indiana as a series of brutal slayings, attributed to a 'Shotgun Killer,' left a trail of victims. Among them was Lawrence Edward Mills, a 43-year-old Caucasian male from Griffith, Indiana. His life was cut short on October 30, 1990, when he became a victim in this violent spree that saw seven individuals killed by shotgun blasts between October and December of that year.
