On March 3, 1986, Alejandro “Alex” Aponte, a Hispanic male, was fatally shot in Miami, Florida. He was one of nine victims murdered by Manuel Pardo, a former police officer turned serial killer who claimed to be executing a personal crusade against drug dealers.
