Joshua Wright, a 17-year-old from Miami, Florida, tragically lost his life on March 30, 2015, during a violent shootout. The incident occurred during a botched drug deal involving the Wabafiyebazu brothers, Jean and Marc, who were the sons of a Canadian diplomat. The brothers had planned to rob Wright and his associates during the transaction. The confrontation quickly escalated into a deadly exchange of gunfire, resulting in the deaths of both Joshua Wright and Jean Wabafiyebazu.
