Donta Culp

In the midst of a particularly violent year for the city of Baltimore, a 38-year-old man named Donta Culp lost his life. On the evening of May 31, 2017, in the 2000 block of Monroe Street, the sharp retort of gunfire echoed through the neighborhood. When the sound faded, Culp was left with multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency services were called to the scene, but his injuries proved to be fatal, and he was pronounced dead right there on the street.
