In the desolate landscape of the Utah desert, a tragic story unfolded on April 2, 1991. The body of 32-year-old Ermalinda Garza Sherman, a Native American woman, was discovered in a remote area roughly two miles south of Interstate 15 near St. George. Known also by the name Linda Sherman, she had been working as a prostitute in Las Vegas. When she was found, it was estimated that she had only been deceased for about an hour, suggesting a swift and brutal end to her life.
