In the early morning hours of September 21, 2014, the life of 25-year-old Launde White, an African-American male, was cut short in a backyard in northeast Las Vegas. The incident occurred at approximately 5:30 a.m. in the 3700 block of Kolanut Lane, near Lake Mead Boulevard and Pecos Road. When police officers arrived at the scene, they discovered White deceased from gunshot wounds to his head and chest.
