Christine Mary Boone, a 43-year-old African-American woman, was reported missing by her family on January 16, 2007. Her disappearance was part of a larger pattern of missing and murdered women in the Rocky Mount area of North Carolina, many of whom shared similar backgrounds involving struggles with drug addiction and prostitution.
