On the afternoon of Valentine's Day, February 14, 2025, Carl Thurmond, a 64-year-old Black / African American male, was fatally shot in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The incident occurred around 5 p.m. near the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and Concordia Avenue. Thurmond, a beloved grandfather and neighborhood handyman, was pronounced dead at the scene.
