In the early hours of a summer morning in Milwaukee, a party that should have been a scene of youthful enjoyment turned into a place of tragedy. On August 16, 2014, Stevan L. Owens, a 21-year-old Black male, was at a gathering in an apartment in the 800 block of N. 22nd Street. The atmosphere of the party took a dark turn when a fight erupted among the attendees.
